Current Phd/master Students

Postgraduate Programme
The Department offers a Doctoral and Masters degrees by research  and coursework. Generally a very good first degree or a Masters degree is required for the PhD programme. Graduates undergoing the Masters programme may, in certain circumstances, be promoted to the PhD programme.

Admissions
This is handled by the School of Graduate Studies at the University. Any query may be addressed to the School of Graduate Studies. It is a good idea to communicate with the Department lecturers on the proposed research field of study prior to formally applying.

Graduate Assistantship Scheme
The University provides a number of awards under the Graduate Assistantship Scheme to Malaysian Students. The student is paid a salary and is expected to perform certain duties in the Department. The fees for the postgraduate programme is reduced by the Award.
